Experimental rock band Boris have announced that they will release a new album on March 16th. Though the title is still unknown, this album will be released under the major label tearbridge records, which is a sublabel of avex.

This new album is also producted by Shinobu Narita, who as been a support musician for the Japanese rocker Tomoyasu Hotei. Narita, has also produced songs for other band such as Plastic Tree, D'ERLANGER and LM.C., whose styles are rather different from Boris' music. Further details regarding the new album are expected to be released soon.

Igazából Merzbow esetében meg sem lepődnék a dolgon annyira, mert ugye kint Japánban olyanokkal lépett fel egy rendezvényen, mint MEG vagy a toddle és Far France.

Nem tudom. xD A Far France és toddle (+music from the marz) eset akkor volt amikor kint voltam, ott látszott is a közönségen, hogy volt a 80% akik az indie bandák miatt jöttek, meg volt a maradék, aki Merzbow miatt. xD Mondjuk ki nem menekült senki, végighalgatták meg minden, de nagyon lehetett látni, hogy ki mi miatt jött. :'D A másik esett meg azelőtt volt pár hónappal, akkor a Liquid Room-ban volt valami electro rendezvény, ahol egy halom odaillő előadó volt (MEG és Verbal, akikre emlékszek a névsorból)... és Merzbow. Amikor itt volt direkt rá is kérdeztem, hogy mi alapján választja ki, hogy hol lép fel, de szerintem rosszul fordították a kérdést, mert a válasznak sok köze nem volt a kérdéshez. xD

HearJapan is excited to announce the release of two new albums from two legendary avant-garde bands: Acid Mothers Temple and Korekyojinn!

A band well known around the world to fans of crazy, far-out space rock, Acid Mothers Temple are releasing their new album, Sax & the City. They’ve teamed up with Kazutoki Umezu, one of Japan’s most admired sax and clarinet players, as well as drummer Yoshida Tatsuya, to form Acid Mothers Temple SWR & Kazutoki Umezu.

Not surprisingly, the styles are all over the place, from car-crash jazz to blissed-out rock jams to more calming ambient grooves. While the songs are relatively short and to-the-point, they still have plenty of time to evolve, ending in an entirely different universe from where they began. This is improv psyche-rock focused like a deadly laser.

Speaking of drummer Yoshida Tatsuya, his band Korekyojinn is back with a new slab of groovy math-rock. Always unpredictable, but never-the-less played with deadly precision, TUNDRA is a collection of unrelenting rhythm and head-bobbing beats, as well as the occasional prog-metal riff. All instrumental this time around, the straightforward set-up of bass, drums, and guitar lets the band really show off their inhuman abilities.
