GACKT - Japanese superstar breaking all reacords!
No matter if Japan, Korea or China – this man beats everything. The japanese superstar GACKT released iin his eight years, when he started his solo career, 27 singles and 8 longplayers, which all reached the "Top 10" positions in the japanese charts. In a whole GACKT sold over 10.000.000 CDs in Japan and made liveshows into a superlative.
In his last asiatour he sold only for Tokyo around 50.000 tickets and every month GACKT's homepage has around 5.000.000 Visits!
On April 9th Japans superstar and multimusician released the message that in the end of Juli he wanted to visit Europe. At the same time he said that the shows would be strictly limited. Only five shows in London, Paris, Barcelona, München and Bochum in 800 people clubs where booked... that means body contact!
What happened than wasn't expected from the box offices. In 30 minutes all european tours where sold oout completely. The german box office KONTICKET had 400 tickets and got around 14.000 requests, causing the servers to crash down. The Munich Manga/Animestore Neo Tokyo reported about fans sleeping in front of the store on the street to get tickets. Just the Munich office from Neo Tokyo got around 1.200 requests for tickets.
The biggest german Animeforum animexx.de opened a thread for the GACKT Tour, which had in three days around 108 pages and counting over 4.000 entries. After there was the rumor that a box office in Berlin would have more tickets left, some fans entered flights from Frankfurt, Cologne and Stuttgart to Berlin just to notice, that it was a false information. For days now the concert promoter gets ticketrequests with highest biddings from even embassy members. In auctions on eBay the tickets get offerings for like 400 Euros. The requests of the european promoters to change into bigger venues was rejected from the management like this: GACKT is going to play in the 800 people venues even though the asking for the tickets is that high, it is supposed to be a special show - very intimate, close to the audience and unique!
